Panaracer RiBMo 700 x 32 Kevlar Black Reviews
Good commuting tire., By This review is from: Panaracer RiBMo 700 x 32 Kevlar Black (Misc.) I'm a moderately heavy rider (195 in gear, plus 15lbs of cr*p in the panniers) and I ride every day in all but freezing ice weather. I've got 3800+ miles on my current tire, a 32x700 and it's doing really well. Probably get another 2k miles on it before the tread wears off. The tire has reasonable rolling resistance, and is a bit heavy but with my load I really can't tell. The route I ride has rolling hills and a couple of steep climbs. If I was riding no load, and Sunday great weather smooth roads, I might pick a lighter tire, say a ribmo 25, but commuting the last thing I want to do is repair a flat in the rain so I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of weight for much more reliability. My front tire is a Specialized Armidillo all conditions and it has a zillion tiny cuts in the tread. I'm about to get rid of it. Both tires were put on within the same week and usually I wear the rear tire more than the front. I'm sold on the Ribmo, both the cost, and reliability. I have had... These are fast and sleek. I was getting flats all the time before getting these. Since then I've had no flats in more than a year! A tough commuting/touring tire that feels like a road tire, This review is from: Panaracer RiBMo 700 x 32 Kevlar Black (Misc.) I have been using these tires on my touring bike for about a year. They have held up well and hardly show any wear. I like road tires (narrow and firm), and these had the highest pressure rating I could find for their width at 7.0 bar (100 psi). Also, the cross section is almost diamond shaped making the contact patch even smaller. The little wear they show is an 8 mm stripe down the center. Though on a sandy shoulder or broken pavement, the full 32 mm width is there. I would still recommend these for someone who likes softer, less efficient tires, but just inflated to the minimum 4.5 bar (65 psi). The Protecton Technolgy has virtually eliminated punctures, and when I have managed to pierce the tire on a serious chunk of metal, the polyamide chord keeps the tire in shape. The new inner tube would have herniated through a lesser tire. I would recommend patching the inside of the tire though because the polyamide is so tough, it will slowly abrade the inner tube. In...
