(Misc.) I bought a pair from my local bike shop for just a few bucks more. Didn't want to wait for shipping...Oh, well. Great tire for a hybrid or commuter type bike. Also great if you want to turn your mountain bike into a more "commuter friendly" bike. The lower rolling resistance will mean increased speeds. Of course, you will lose the ability to go purely "off-road". But, the tire wasn't intended for that. You can cut through the park on grass or packed down earth & still feel secure. Although the tire doesn't state directional mounting - I would still mount them so that the 'sipes' (arrow shaped grooves) rotate forward. That way, any water can be channeled away from the center of the tire, instead of under the tire. Anyway, as all mountian bikes do, it came with knobby tires that were not designed for long periods on the road. Since she likes to take evening bike rides on roads to relax, I settle for an hours worth of vibration and drag!I researched this tire and read previous reviews, of course the price was right too and it was for a pair :)! I made sure I had an extra set of wheels so I could swap them out any time I needed. The tires came quick, packaging on the other hand was as if the twisted them up into a pretzel and wrapped them in plastic and tape. I laid them in the sun for awhile to soften the rubber before installing them. They went on with no issues and the ride is like glass!
