My motorcycle feels pretty steady even in wet roads. I used to have anakee and this change to 2 is great. I got a magazine with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars About 75K miles total, April 29, 2012

I put 54K miles on my 1150 Adventure and have 42K on my 1200 Adventure. Most of those miles were on Anakee and Anakee 2. I've also run Tourances, EXPs, and TKC80s. I still like the Anakee 2 the best for performance and wear. The Tourance is almost identical in performance on dry roads but the Anakees shine in the rain. I've hit big, deep puddles at speed - deep enough that the water knocked my feet off the pegs - and not even a sign of planing or slipping. I've also ridden on snow and slush covered pavement, mud, dirt, sand and rocks with them. They're obviously not brilliant off-road given their street orientation. The rear generally works well enough, especially if you lower the pressure a bit. The front on a GS is always doomed to be so-so for performance off-road - more due to the 19" front wheel than the tire. If you're going to do a lot of loose stuff go with the TKC80s, you'll be happier (though they'll only last half as a long as the Anakee/Tourance)

The Anakees... Read more
